Research, development and testing.

NEOTEC air springs are developed, tested and validated before they reach the market. R&D at NEOTEC combines laboratory material control, component testing, endurance validation and technical feedback from real commercial vehicle operation – for trucks, trailers and buses.

Laboratory control

From raw material to finished air spring.

NEOTEC operates in-house research laboratories that control the quality parameters of every material and component used in an air spring: rubber and rubber-textile materials in the bellow, as well as the metal and plastic components of the finished product.

Rubber compound

Material identity, hardness and ageing characteristics under controlled conditions.

Rubber-textile

Cord-to-rubber adhesion and reinforcement integrity in the bellow construction.

Metal components

Dimensional control, surface protection and assembly behaviour of metal parts.

Plastic components

Material consistency and mechanical behaviour of plastic elements in the assembly.

Durability

Tested for demanding conditions.

Internal endurance testing and weather resistance checks support the durability expectations of the rubber part of the product.

01

Internal fatigue testing

Bellow durability evaluated under repeated load cycles, in line with the N9M™ proof standard. N9M™ is the proof layer of the NEOTEC Quality Triangle™, alongside NRX™ material and OELine™ process discipline.

02

Weather resistance

Exposure-based checks covering oxygen, ozone and environmental ageing factors that affect the rubber part outdoors.

03

Temperature behaviour

Material stability validated across the operating window from −50°C to +60°C, with validated tolerance for periodic temperature peaks beyond that range.

Field feedback

Learning from real vehicle operation.

Technical knowledge doesn’t stop at the laboratory. NEOTEC air springs are placed in daily service with public transport depots and private fleet operators, where performance is tracked over years, not months. This field feedback flows directly back into material and process control.

  • Workshop feedback loops

APQP & LCA

Development with quality and lifecycle discipline.

NEOTEC combines product development, production feedback and lifecycle awareness to support responsible engineering decisions.

APQP

Advanced Product Quality Planning – structured discipline applied at the development stage.

LCA

Lifecycle thinking – material awareness and end-of-life handling for the air springs category.
